In November 2013, Typhoon Haiyan made landfall in the Philippines. It was one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded and people not only in my home country but all over the world were shaken.  It was significant to me on another level because I was visiting my family in the Philippines at the end of October and left days before the typhoon hit.
When the Lady Project and Providence Power Yoga told me they wanted to host a charity yoga and meditation event to benefit people who were devastated by the typhoon, I was glad to participate and contribute what I can.
These were graphics I designed to promote the event on social media. I wanted to convey the gravity of the circumstance but also add a sense of purpose and hope. The photo used here is one I took several years back in Coron, Palawan, a town severely affected by the typhoon.
